DVLA - The Driver And Vehicle Licensing Agency "DVLA" (In Welsh: Asiantaeth Trwyddedu Gyrwyr a Cherbydau) are responsible for administering drivers and vehicle details within the UK. This includes drivers licenses, vehicle registration and licensing. The main office is in Morriston, Swansea, South Wales. It was previously known as the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Centre (DVLC). The current Minister is Dr Stephen Ladyman, MP. The current Chief Executive of the agency is Clive "Drive" Bennett, appointed in 2000. The agency also has a network of offices around Great Britain, known as the Local Office Directorate.

DVLA has been pioneering in electronic government in the UK, with customers now being able to pay vehicle excise duty online and by phone. From 2008, the collection of vehicle excise duty for Northern Ireland will transfer from the DVLNI Coleraine to the Swansea office.
